I can’t wait to explore high fashion trends and celebrity style through this blog.”  Let’s get to know her a little more…

Q: Tell us about yourself! How did you end up working with MODA Magazine and what are your fields of expertise?
A: As an avid Vogue reader growing up, I have always had a strong passion and appreciation for style and fashion! I would spend countless hours in my room just flipping through magazine pages, cutting out pictures that I really liked and created inspiration boards out of them. Now as a freshman at UW-Madison, I still want to express my love for fashion, and so when I heard about MODA I knew it was the perfect match for me. There’s nothing better than being in a community of people who share the same interests as you, and who constantly inspire you. I would say that my fields of expertise include Street Style and circulating trends in the Fashion climate.

Q: What excites you most about blogging for Greenway Station?
A: I’m really excited to share my perspective on the different fashion trends. Blogging is such a cool platform to share your thoughts and opinions to the greater internet audience!

Q: What are you studying at UW and how does it affect your view on celebrity style and high fashion trends?
A: Currently, I am studying Journalism, International Studies and Digital Studies at UW-Madison, and I think these three areas will bring an open and honest perspective on celebrity style and high fashion trends.

Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: To be honest, my personal style is all over the place! I love to experiment with different kinds of clothing. Somedays I like to wear a lot of bold colors and mix & match different patterns. Other days I resort to wearing all-black clothing. But I would say that the overlying themes to the outfits I wear is either boho-chic, minimalistic, and/or athleisure-inspired.

Q: Who are your favorite designers and why?
A: Chanel is definitely at the top of my list because I love how classic and timeless all of their pieces are. A new favorite of mine would definitely have to be Balmain. I just love how it juxtaposes the elements of structure, femininity and texture into all of its pieces.

Q: What celebrities (or their stylists) have made the best fashion decisions recently?
A: Rihanna has been killing it recently, especially with her latest partnership—FENTY x Puma. I loved the looks that she wore on both on the red carpet to her fashion show during NYFW and on the runway as she modeled some of her own pieces in the collection. For her first look, she wore an oversized velvet hoodie with a semi-transparent maxi dress and some wedged platforms. And for her second look, she rocked a fuzzy grey oversized hoodie with bare legs and a pair of athleisure inspired heels. I love how edgy and dark both looks are, and am excited to see what else Rih Rih brings to the table.

Q: Of the ‘big four’ fashion capitals (New York, London, Milan and Paris) which has the fashion week that you want to attend most?
A: If I ever had the chance to go to either one of the fashion capitals, I would go in a heartbeat as it’s always been a dream of mine to go to Fashion Week! But if I had to choose, I would love to go to Paris Fashion Week because I’ve always wanted to go to Paris, and because all of my favorite designers showcase their pieces there! The romantic and elegant ambience of the city is so inspiring.
