Meet Krystle Marks: Core Contributor Profile

April 19, 2016

Personal shopper and stylist, Krystle Marks, is one of the core contributors on For Everything You Love!  You can view all of our core contributors on our very first blog post here.  Over the next few months we’re going to go a bit deeper with each of these talented individuals so you get to know them, their interests, and their expertise!

Q: Tell us about yourself! How did you end up as a stylist and what experience do you have?
A: I have always loved fashion and the art of dressing. I had an opinion on my clothes from very young, just ask my mom 😉 I was fortunate to find an art that I enjoyed as an adult, which was makeup, so I took it and ran with it becoming a professional makeup artist in Madison. What I loved the most about doing makeup was how it made women feel about themselves. They would literally change how they sat in their chair and say things like, “WOW! I didn’t know I could look like this…” And I would respond with, “Are you kidding me?! You are gorgeous! I am just enhancing what is already there…” Making women feel empowered and beautiful became the highlight of my work. I had a friend approach me to help her with her closet, and I knew the goal was the same, make her feel AMAZING about herself. After that first appointment, I knew this was what I was meant to do. Since then I have had the honor of working with 100’s of brilliant and amazing women, but the goal has remained the same, make them feel beautiful, valuable, and loved.

Q: What exactly is a fashion stylist?
A: Think of it as your clothing expert. Just like you trust a professional with your hair; as a fashion stylist, I am here to teach you what clothing pieces will flatter your body and personal sense of style. This saves you time and money, eliminating the items that just sit in your closet. I also take into consideration what your current lifestyle needs are…are you a stay at home mom? Do you need business professional options? Retired? I can help make getting dressed stress free. The best part of being a fashion stylist is drawing out who you are on the inside and making it uniquely yours on the outside.
